A real treasure in my Collection

 A week ago or so I got very lucky when I received a Jersey from no less than Emanuele Sella in Team Androni Giocattoli - Venezuela. I have a very long time admired Emanule when I think he is a true fighter on the bike. Very often during races he is in a breakaway and always tries to make the race worth for the Team. He is also a true and loyal member to the others in the Team and always fights for them.

I have meet Emanuele several times, the last time last year at Il Lombardia and he has always been friendly and he is a very generous fellow. When I wrote to him and asked if it was possible for me to obtain a jersey with the numbers left on the jersey, he told me that he unfortunately was done with races this year. But instead would he send me the jersey he had during the last stage of this years Giro d´Italia. He also signed the numbers for me as well the jersey on the front.

For me it has been a dream to have a jersey that a rider of the Giro d´Italia have used, and who could believe that I would get the great Emanuele Sellas jersey?

Team Belkin

I have now started to build up my Collection of items from Team Belkin, I willn´t make the same misstake as I did with Team Colombia Coldeportes and Think that the Items will be there forever and I also thought that the items of Colombia would be cheaper.

New bicycle in my collection

I have now cleaned the bike and finally I could take a photo of it. I am not sure from wich year the bike is from, but when I look at the gears and brakes my good guess is 1995/96 or 1997. Why I bought this bike is that it´s very similiar to the bike that Team Gewiss Ballan/Playbus used between 1995-96.

I consider it as an object much because I have to fix the chain and some other small things Before I can say that it´s in its former glory. I am not 100% sure of it will stuck in my Collection, time will show.

But still it´s a nice bike.

Today I got a VERY nice surprise in my mailbox, I didn´t thought that it would arrive so soon.

But I am at the same time very Pleased! One of the riders in this Team in the end of the 70:s was very kind to send me three Jerseys which he used in the Team. When I called him he said it was funny because he had found this (the black one) just a year ago and that he had nailed into the wall in his Garage.

But when I explained my matter he said that the Jersey would be more to use in my Collection. At first he didn´t want any Money for it, so I insisted that I would send some money as a gift to be used for the youth in his Cycling Club. And so was done, and now I got the Jerseys at home. They are going to get a really nice place so I can show everyone who wants to see them good. If you want to see the photos better just click on the photo and you will see it bigger.

Helmet - Androni Giocattoli - Venezuela

Look what a Beauty I recieved last day, this is the official helmet for the Team Androni Giocattoli-Venezuela, not a replica. Unfortunately is this not for sale in the shops (in this colours), The model is a TEC Quadriga and I must say that it´s the most comfurtable helmet I ever had.

I can finally retire my helmet from Kask and use the proper one when I ride one of my bikes from Androni Giocattoli =)

Caps Gewiss Bianchi and Gewiss Playbus

I managed to get a couple of Caps from som older Teams. I got really happy when I found those two because it´s really hard to find them. Next on my wishlist for those two Teams is Summergloves and Bibs for Team Gewiss-Bianchi. Hopefully I will find a couple later on.

Bianchi C2C Infinito Team Vacansoleil-DCM

Bianchi C2C Infinito (2012) Team Vacansoleil-DCM

Today I have spent the most of my time to build a new item to my Collection. The frame is previously used by Steijn Devolder when he was part of Team Vacansoleil-DCM.
I bought the frame directly from the Team in the turn of the year 13/14 when the Team seased to excist. Among that I also bought the stem, handlebar, Wheels, saddle, seatpost, bottlecages etc,

Very nice bike, I will probably take the first ride tomorrow.

Team Coast

In 2003 a clothes manufacture in Germany wanted to be part of cycling, Coast, Unfortunately did the company got some financial problems and had to terminate the sponsorship early in 2003, that made the riders and the Team without any economical support and at first the Team seemed to be dissolved, but shortly after that the Bianchi company stepped in and took over the sponsorship, and to most of our happiness under the name Team Bianchi, the biggest star of the Team was of course Jan Ullrich, and the rest is history =) Of course not Ullrich won one stage in that years edition of Tour de France and ended on a very nice 2 spot (behind Lance Armstrong) in the General Classification. His bike from this year was previously on display at Bianchi Café & Cycles in Stockholm but is now removed.

Because of the short existence of the Team it´s very difficult to find stuff from the Team Coast (was ended on may 9th 2003) but below you will see what I have gathered through the years. The Cap did I get from one of the former team members (M. Urban) and it´s signed by Jan Ullrich.

My new bike in the collection

Finally here is the bike that will have a nice spot in my Collection. Previously used by Diego Rosa in Team Androni Giocattoli-Venezuela. This is the bike that I will use tomorrow in a Gran Fondo that I will participate in. I am a lycky guy at the moment. I am sorry about the quality of the photo of the bike, I will post better photos later.

Finally I have now bought my new ride for 2014. But who´s bike I will get is so far unknown. It will be a Surprise =) Hopefully I will get it Before next weekend. It depends on the curior Company.

I have today recieved some nice items too my Collection. First it is summer gloves to Team Mercatone UNI - Bianchi anno 1999, and the National Jersey of Finnland, as was worn by Kjell Carlström when he was part of Team Liquigas Bianchi in 2005 and 2006.

Team Alessio-Bianchi 2004

Here are some nice item connected too a Team that only exsisted for a Year, but the results they made was impressive. Magnus Bäckstedt as an example won Paris Roubaix that year in this colours.
The most of the clothes and the helmet I got from an ex-pro in the Team and I am very thankful for be able to purchase this. The bibs and the signed Jersey is Team replica and bought by at my local bike store.

Team Vacansoleil 2012-2013

Here are my collection with Team Vacansoleil-DCM clothes, this is Team I have been neglecting a bit, I don´t know why, but maybe it´s because there is no problems to find stuff from this Team so far, the only thing I regret is that I didn´t bought the Jersey they used at Il Lombardia in 2012. Now is this Team dissolved and passed on to the History books. But they did some really nice results during it´s existence.
